Supernova House Teams
Supernova House Team
The Supernova is Station’s signature improv form featuring interviews and stories from special guest monologists.
The Supernova is Houston’s longest-running improv show.
Auditions: Sunday, April 21 at 12:00 pm
Performance Schedule: First and Third Friday of each month at 8:00 pm, beginning in July.
Director: Roger Anderson
Eligibility: Completion of Level 4 improv class
Length of Cast Run: TBD, depending on schedules and preferences of cast
Audition Process: The audition will involve Armando performances. Performers should be proficient in crafting and receiving premise initiations, patterns, and game.
Coaches will review videos for technical accuracy, while a panel of random audience members will grade based on enjoyment.
PRIDE Supernova Team
The Supernova is Station’s signature improv form featuring interviews and stories from special guest monologists.
The PRIDE Supernova series will feature LGBTQIA+ performers and monologists.
Auditions: Sunday, April 21 at 2:00 pm
Performance Schedule: Every Saturday in June at 8:00 pm
Director: Jessica Brown
Eligibility: Completion of Level 4 improv class
Audition Process: We will cast this troupe during a live audition on Sunday, 4/21 at 2:00 pm. Performers should be proficient in crafting and receiving premise initiations, patterns, and game.
Additional Notes: Troupe will rehearse weekly on Thursdays, 6-8 pm at Sabine Street Studios starting 4/25.
Allies may be considered, but queer performers will be prioritized. This is part of Station’s June Saturday PRIDE shows.
We are excited to announce that Station Theater will host a series of PRIDE shows during the month of June. All of our Saturday shows will feature LGBTQIA+ students, performers, and guests. We are opening submissions for to performers & writers who are interested in participating in the shows listed below.
Performers are encouraged to participate in more than one show. These shows will be cast by the individual producers. We will provide them with your availability and contact information. Please email Jessica Brown with any questions.
Allies may submit for shows, but our priority is casting queer performers.

QUEER STAND UP SHOWCASE: Produced & hosted by Arron Michaels.
SATURDAY, JUNE 8 OR 22
These show dates will be announced once specific performer availablity is confirmed.
DRAG SHOW: We are looking to partner with a drag performer for the Supernova show this same evening. That performer will be given the opportunity to produce a show during the 9:30 pm spot, such as Drag Bingo or a Drag Show. We are currently reaching out to local performers for this show.
QUEER VARIETY SHOW: Produced by Meredith Nudo. This show has opportunities for segment submissions & individual performers. This may include sketches, short form improv, long form improv, storytelling, stand up, music, gameshows, and more! Do you have an idea or do you want to perform? Submit your info!
SATURDAY, JUNE 15
STILL SINGLE: A panel of improvisers discuss what it’s really like out there in the dating world, while they judge if we’re to blame for being… STILL SINGLE. Produced by Elizabeth McCall (Simonsen). Opportunities for up to 4 panelists.
PROTOSTAR: An all-student improv troupe comprised of LGBTQIA+ performers. Performers should be in Levels 1-5 of Station Theater's training program or have graduated within the past 6 months. Depending on the level of response, we may form two teams. Coached by Jessica Brown. This troupe will rehearse one time on Tuesday, June 11. Coached by Jessica Brown.

LESBI-HONEST - A SKETCH SHOW: A WLW sketch show produced by Elizabeth McCall. This show has opportunities for sketch writers and/or submissions and performers. Do you have an idea for a WLW sketch? Submit it!
