Frequently Asked Questions

WHERE WE YOU LOCATED

HOW DO I ACCESS THE BUILDING?

  • The main entrance is at the BACK of the building in the gated parking lot.

  • A greeter will be at the door to welcome you.

WHERE DO I PARK?

  • The building parking lot entrance is located BEHIND the building.

  • From Nance, turn onto Semmes Street, then take the first right to drive behind the building. The parking lot entrance will be on your right.

  • This is a GATED lot. The gate should be open during showtimes and will close about one hour before the show ends.

  • If the gate is not open, please text or call 832.786.0413 for the gate code.

  • To exit, pull forward slowly toward the gate to activate the sensor and leave plenty of space in front of your vehicle, as the gate opens very wide.

DOORS & SEATING

  • Doors open 10 minutes before showtime.

  • Seating is first come, first served. We have about 40 seats (30 chairs and 10–12 bench seats).

TICKETS

  • Online ticket sales close 1 hour before showtime.

  • Limited tickets may be available at the door unless the show is sold out. Check our social media for sold-out notices.

  • We do not accept cash. Payments are processed through Square and may appear as Station Theater or Phase 3 Comedy, LLC. We accept credit cards and mobile wallet payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay).

  • You do not need to bring a printed ticket; we can look it up.

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

  • Tickets are non-refundable.

  • With advance notice, we may be able to transfer your ticket to another person or show. Please email info@stationtheater.com as soon as possible.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION

Improv shows often begin with performers asking the audience for a word or suggestion. Beyond this, we ask that you:

  • Refrain from conversation.

  • Silence your devices.

  • Avoid heckling performers.

FOOD & DRINK

  • Station is BYOB unless otherwise noted.

  • Guests 21+ may bring alcoholic beverages. Please also bring your own cups, ice, and openers. Drinks must remain sealed in the parking lot and can only be enjoyed inside or on our patio. Follow all TABC rules and drink responsibly.

  • Small personal coolers are permitted if they fit under your chair. We do not provide refrigeration.

  • You may bring snacks, but avoid full meals, noisy packaging, or strong odors.

HOUSE TROUPES VS. INDIE TROUPES

  • A House Troupe is formed and curated by our artistic staff. Members are selected through auditions, and the troupe performs regularly as part of our weekly programming. Current house troupes include Improv Implosion and The LoddERY.

  • An Independent Troupe, or Indie Troupe, is created by performers on their own. They develop their own style, rehearse independently, and bring fresh perspectives to Station’s stage. Houston is home to more than 50 independent improv troupes.

KIDS & FAMILIES

Most shows are recommended for audiences PG-13 and up. Improv is unpredictable, and we cannot guarantee all content will be family-friendly.

  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • Small children who may disrupt the performance will not be admitted.

SAFETY

  • Firearms and other weapons are not permitted in Station Theater under any circumstances.

  • Masks are not required. Performers are vaccinated and perform unmasked. Disposable masks are available on-site if you’d like one.
