Share Your Story At Our Friday Improv Implosion Show!

Welcome to the Improv Implosion Storyteller Hub!

If you’re on this page, it means our team at Station Theater has invited you to be a featured guest storyteller for our flagship show, Improv Implosion (Fridays at 7:30 PM). We love celebrating the vibrant people, projects, and voices that make Houston thrive, and we’d be thrilled to share our stage with you!

How It Works

  • Short Interview & Story: After a brief on-stage chat, you’ll be prompted to share a 2 to 3-minute true personal story. Don't worry about trying to be funny or theatrical. Just share a real memory rich in sensory details. Paint a picture with things you saw, heard, felt, or even smelled. You never know which small detail might spark our improvisers!

  • Watch the Improv: Our Improv Implosion house troupe takes the stage to create brand-new, unscripted scenes inspired by your story. It’s never a parody or a retelling. It’s storytelling inspiring storytelling.

  • A Safe, Supportive Environment: We pride ourselves on uplifting our guests. Our troupe uses your experiences to spark collaborative creativity. Our performers never mock your story or punch down. You are our honored guest!

What You Receive

  • Free VIP Guest Tickets: You receive 4 complimentary tickets for your friends, family, or colleagues, plus a reserved group block of 5 seats total so you can enjoy the show together.

  • Discount Code for MORE Guests: We’ll create a custom discount code so your broader community, friends, and followers can grab discounted tickets to support your show night! We can set up a whole reserved section with advanced notice!

  • Platform & Promotion: We love shouting out your work! We’ll highlight your bio, social handles, and website in our show materials.

  • Fundraising Opportunity: With enough advance notice, we can structure the evening as a fundraiser for your arts group, community initiative, or charitable cause. Ticket-proceed splits may be available to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits, and we are happy to customize community support efforts for non-certified grassroots organizations. We need at least 6 weeks lead time for fundraiser shows.

Ready to Confirm Your Show Date?

To lock in your date and help us build your promotional materials, please complete our Improv Implosion - Guest Storyteller Information Form. The form will ask for the following:

  • Your Preferred Friday Dates: Please indicate your top choice plus 2 to 3 alternate Friday dates. Make sure to let us know if you have a time-sensitive event, product launch, or initiative to promote! We try to schedule storytellers 2 to 3 weeks in advance to allow time to promote your show.

  • Your Bio & High-Res Headshot: A 2 to 3 sentence biography and a high-resolution photo.
Please use these specs for your photo:

    • Composition: Clear head-and-shoulders shot with good lighting.

    • Dimensions: Minimum 1080x1080 pixels (square or vertical orientation works best for our graphics).

  • Fundraiser Shows: Want to partner on a fundraiser? Tell us about your 501(c)(3), cause, or community initiative! With at least 6 weeks' advance notice, we can consider structuring your show night as a fundraiser, which may include a ticket door split and/or on-stage opportunities to collect donations.

Fundraising partnerships are subject to review and approval by Station Theater management. We do not guarantee a fundraiser show or door split. All terms are set at Station’s discretion.

Once received, our team will review your info, confirm your final date, and send over your guest ticket reservation link!
