Trillteenth is a Juneteenth event series created by students and performers from Station Theater, celebrating Black-led comedy and creative expression. The series takes place on Saturday, June 20 at Station Theater, located in Houston’s 5th Ward Cultural Arts District, a historic center for Black music, art, and storytelling that continues to shape the city’s creative voice.
Presented in this culturally significant neighborhood, Trillteenth connects contemporary performance to a long tradition of creative leadership rooted in community and place.

Kick off the night with a celebration of Black creativity, comedy, and culture. Featuring sketch comedy, stand-up, live performances, music, spoken word, and surprises throughout the night, The Variety Show brings together bold talent and big energy for a Juneteenth experience that’s anything but ordinary.
Funny, unpredictable, and full of joy, this is a showcase of artists doing what we do best: creating, connecting, and showing out. In Houston, just miles from where Juneteenth began, we’re celebrating freedom, expression, and the power of community.
What’s delayed can never be denied. Come laugh, vibe, and experience the collective.

Fun and completely made up on the spot, The Improv Show is where anything can happen. Featuring Play Too Much, an ensemble cast of improvisers, and acclaimed troupes Just Us and Can’t Tell Us Nothing, this show turns audience suggestions into bold, hilarious performances in real time.
No scripts. No limits. Just Black joy, chemistry, chaos, and comedy unfolding live in front of you. One moment could be genius. The next could be unhinged. Either way, you’ll want to say you were there.
Celebrate Juneteenth in Houston with a night of laughter, creativity, and community because what’s delayed cannot be denied.
